About Turning
Inserts are a pure consumable, so price per edge decides everything. Buying surplus is the only way to cut that number without switching to an unknown offshore grade, and the packs listed here are sealed, unused and from named manufacturers.
You will find the common ISO turning geometries — CNMG (80 degree rhombic, strongest), WNMG (80 degree trigon, four usable corners) and TNMG (60 degree triangle, best for profiling) — in P, M and K grades with CVD and PVD coatings for steel, stainless and cast iron. Boring bars and indexable holders are stocked alongside them so you can buy the insert and the tool that holds it in one pass.
Not sure which shape a job wants? Our guide to CNMG, WNMG and TNMG inserts breaks down when each one wins, with the in-stock equivalents called out. Many insert listings sell in packs of ten with the per-edge price shown, and piece counts on hand are published so you can plan a production run.
